“New works” at Sid Lee Collective Gallery
8 September, 2009 in Events, Sara-Lee in Amsterdam with no comments
Went to Sid Lee last Thursday to check out Eddy Chartier and Merijn Hos’s art exhibition. I have to admit that I mostly went there to meet my friends (which I had not had the time and to hangout with until then). Among drinks and post-its I found:

Tobias

Sean

Malin

Olle and Jenny

and Andreas

48 hours in Stockholm
7 April, 2009 in Advertising, Events with no comments- 48h is Sweden’s largest advertising competition. I went to the vernissage at Urban Outfitters to check out some of the entries. Photo: Emma Nygren.

The winner ad. "We don't think about the children in Africa. They can think for themselves."
For those of you who don’t know what 48h is, it’s a competition for Swedish advertising students. You get a brief and work in a group of three (an art director, a copywriter and a strategist) and you’ve got 48 hours to come up with an idea and an ad. The winner ad will be published in three of Sweden’s largest newspapers. Read more about the competition and the biref on 48h.se (in Swedish though).
I love these kind of competitions. Mostly because you get to work with new people from different schools. I regret I didn’t enter the competition, maybe I’ll do it next year(?). Have any of you seen the ad in one of the newspapers yet? What do/did you think about it?
